Message to members: 13 February 2017
Recent years have shown falling income and slow but steady rise in costs. Your committee has sought ways to manage more efficiently, leading to recommendations for members’ approval at the 2017 AGM.
- To replace the annual membership book by a durable card and annual renewal receipts.
- To replace the content of the membership book with copies of a new simplified constitution and management statement, a contacts list, information on subscriptions and fees, fishing rules and a new booklet with maps and information. (Copies enclosed should be kept by members intending to renew membership for 2017.) Existing Life Members will retain their status.
- To increase subscriptions and fees:
Intermediate/Student 18 – 21: £30
Day Ticket: £6
- To introduce a policy of zero removal of fish from Ripon Piscatorial waters - NO FISH TO BE TAKEN.
These changes will help the Association to continue to provide the best level of management and sport in the future. I hope you have read them carefully and will give them your full support. If you wish to submit alterations to the recommendations, these must be sent to the Hon. Sec. in writing with a seconder, by 5th. February. I hope to see you at the Bowling Club for the AGM on 17th February and wish you good catches in the coming year.
Allister Atkinson, Chairman.
